I am Carrie, the creator of Jakyndee dreadlocks.  

 

I started Jakyndee dreadlocks as I have always loved doing hair, but struggled to find someone to install really great dreadlocks.  I also found that my dreadlocked friends were finding it hard to find anyone who could do really great maintenance.

 

It was while recovering from a broken wrist in February 2019, I came across the Seienstyle method and decided that this was what I had been looking for.  I immediately signed up to the training.

The Seienstyle method of creating dreadlocks involves:-

• creating accurate, even sectioning, to create the best size and amount of dreadlocks, tailored to your individual hair type and the thickness you want;

• using specialist thread to make a root tie at the base of the dreadlock;

• gentle backcombing;

• gentle use of crochet hook.

This method creates dreadlocks that are fully formed and look like dreadlocks straight away.  Other methods can take months, even years, to look like dreadlocks at all.

Like all dreadlocks, to keep them looking neat and growing separately, they will need you to take care of them, and regular maintenance to keep the roots tidy and repair any week spots or loose hair.
